After a nail biting organisational feat we had a really successful evening at Millenium House in Pensilva complete with drinks, food and free parking. Plenty of supporters and volunteers, even some new faces attended. Lots of cracking raffle prizes were donated, which helped to raise funds for the Branch. There was a fantastic spread by M2 caterers and a thoroughly convivial atmosphere all evening, all walks of life represented. Paul was kept busy mingling and chatting to guests and toward the end of the evening he spoke to us all of what the branch is aiming to do and move forward. Invitations to be part of the interim branch committee would be gratefully received via southwestcornwall@reformuk.com and building on the base that we established during the election this year where he and the team pushed the Liberal Demodrats into fourth place in South East Cornwall with over 9,300 votes. Furthermore Paul and Robert Parsonage, (current County Co-ordinator for Cornwall) who also spoke to the gathering, both were keen to get the ball rolling on applications and vetting for the local elections in May 2025. As Branch chair and Point of Contact Paul has been charged with taking applications for the Interim Branch Committee, please contact him on southeastcornwall@reformuk.com to apply and there are other opportunities to apply within the area too (there are application form links on the RUKSEC news section). We're finalising dates for the official election of the Interim Branch Committee as I type, just waiting for the venue to confirm, which will be broadcast here there and everywhere as soon as it's confirmed! And then, of course, theres the 'Christmas Party party' date for your diary to be confirmed ASAP.
